About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Ewa, founder of Open Lens Therapy.
I am a qualified counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement and at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach is humanistic, integrative and person-centred, with Gestalt-informed elements. I believe that every person is unique, and rather than following a single therapeutic model, I draw on different approaches to meet your individual needs while keeping you at the centre of our work together.
Together, we can explore patterns that may no longer be serving you, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and work towards meaningful and lasting change. Therapy with me is not about fixing you—it is about understanding your experiences, recognising your strengths, and creating the space for growth, healing and self-acceptance.
I have over ten years' experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and people from diverse cultural and migration backgrounds. I also volunteer at a men's wellbeing service, supporting men's mental health and suicide prevention.
I work with adults aged 16 and over and offer therapy in both English and Polish. Alongside my counselling practice, I am also a qualified sound therapy practitioner with an interest in the connection between sound, creativity and emotional wellbeing.
If you are thinking about starting therapy, whether you have a specific difficulty or simply feel that something is not quite right, you are welcome to get in touch.
Practice description
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and you do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, addiction, grief, or simply feel that something is not quite right, therapy offers a space to pause, reflect and make sense of your experiences.
I aim to create a calm, supportive and collaborative relationship where you feel heard, accepted and respected. Together, we will explore whatever feels important to you, without pressure or judgement. Sessions move at your pace, allowing you the time and space to understand your thoughts, emotions and experiences more deeply.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on different therapeutic perspectives to meet your individual needs while remaining grounded in a person-centred philosophy. I may also incorporate Gestalt-informed approaches where appropriate to help increase awareness and deepen understanding of your present experience.
I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on your goals and circumstances. Sessions last 50 minutes and are available face to face from my private therapy room at Space|3 Wellness in Highams Park, London, or online for clients across the UK.
I believe that therapy is not about giving advice or telling you what to do. Instead, it is about working together to help you understand yourself more fully, discover your own strengths and move towards the changes that feel right for you.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute telephone or online consultation before we begin therapy. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling, answer any questions you may have, and consider whether we feel like the right fit to work together. There is no obligation to continue after this conversation.
Our first full session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another. We will explore what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain from our work together, and any relevant aspects of your background that you feel comfortable sharing. I will also explain how I work, discuss confidentiality and its limits, and answer any questions you may have about the counselling process.
There is no pressure to share everything during the first session. We will work at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. My aim is to create a warm, respectful and collaborative environment where you feel listened to, accepted and supported from the very beginning.
