About me and my therapy practice
My counselling approach is person-centred. Essentially that means you will be fully accepted for whoever you are and however you are. I won't tell you what to do or judge you. I will help you explore whatever personal issues, present, past or future that detract from you enjoyment of life. The objective of our time together is to help you move out of being stuck, however that may be, and back into personal growth, healing, and increased self-awareness and self-direction. My approach tries to help you get to the root of things and how to heal from those things.
Practice description
The best way to get a sense of what having counselling with me will be like is to take the free introductory half hour session and we can discuss your needs and how we will address your meeting them more fully.
My first session
Before we begin our work together, I offer a free half-hour consultation in-person, or via video call. We can discuss what you want to achieve and what is the best choice for moving forward prior to engagement, or I can offer recommendations for referral if I think another approach may be more effective for you.
