About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified integrative counsellor offering online therapy in both English and Spanish. My practice is grounded in the Person-Centred approach, which means I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and change when they are met with empathy, acceptance and genuine understanding. I strive to provide a warm, respectful and confidential environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

Alongside my Person-Centred foundation, I draw on Psychodynamic and CBT-informed approaches where appropriate, tailoring therapy to your individual needs, experiences and goals. I believe there is no single approach that suits everyone, so our work together will always be guided by what feels most helpful and meaningful for you.

Over the past two years, I have worked within a wellbeing agency supporting adults from a wide range of backgrounds. I initially worked with a service dedicated to men's wellbeing, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, life transitions and emotional challenges. As the organisation expanded its services to include women's wellbeing, I continued supporting both men and women, broadening my experience of working with diverse life experiences and presenting concerns.

I understand that seeking therapy can feel daunting, and taking the first step is often the hardest. My aim is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, valued and accepted without judgement. Together, we can explore the difficulties you are facing and develop a deeper understanding of yourself at a pace that feels right for you.

I am committed to providing an inclusive and culturally sensitive service that respects every person's unique identity, values and lived experience. I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and engage in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development to ensure my practice remains ethical, reflective and responsive.

Practice description

Starting therapy can feel like a significant step, and I understand that reaching out for support is not always easy. My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and confidential space where you can feel safe to talk openly, without fear of judgement.

I work collaboratively with each client, recognising that you are the expert in your own life. Together, we will explore the thoughts, emotions and experiences that have brought you to therapy, helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing. I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling genuinely heard, understood and accepted.

As an integrative counsellor, I adapt my approach to suit your individual needs. While my work is grounded in the Person-Centred approach, I also draw on Psychodynamic and CBT-informed principles where these may be helpful. This allows us to explore both present-day difficulties and, where appropriate, how past experiences may continue to influence your life today, while also developing practical strategies to support positive change.

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, life transitions and emotional wellbeing. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply feeling that something is not quite right, therapy can offer an opportunity to pause, reflect and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Sessions are currently offered online, providing a flexible and accessible way to access therapy from a private space that feels comfortable for you. I offer counselling in both English and Spanish and am committed to providing an inclusive, respectful and culturally sensitive service where every client feels valued and supported.

My first session

I offer a free 25-minute introductory online session, giving you the opportunity to meet me, ask any questions and decide whether counselling with me feels right for you. There is no obligation to continue after this session.

During our introductory meeting, we will briefly explore what has brought you to counselling, what you are hoping to gain from therapy and whether I am the right counsellor to support your needs. It is also an opportunity for you to learn more about how I work and what you can expect from our sessions.

If you decide to continue, our first full counselling session will include discussing your goals for therapy, agreeing our counselling contract, including confidentiality and its limits, and completing a brief assessment to help me understand your current circumstances and how best to support you. This assessment is conversational and forms part of getting to know you rather than a test or questionnaire.

My aim is to ensure that you feel safe, comfortable and informed from the very beginning, allowing us to build a trusting therapeutic relationship at a pace that feels right for you.
