Most of my working hours are in the mid morning, but I always try to adjust where I can to fit around my clients.
About me and my therapy practice
I work with adults, both face to face and online, who are struggling to feel at ease with themselves or their lives. This might mean living with depression, anxiety or trauma, or carrying a more general sense of unhappiness. For some, the clearest sign that something is wrong is a feeling of going round in circles — the same conflicts, the same disappointments, the same patterns playing out again and again, in relationships, at home or at work.
My approach is to offer a space where you can begin to make sense of what you are experiencing. Working at a pace that feels right for you, we explore not just what is happening in your life, but why — looking beneath the surface to understand the deeper feelings, unconscious patterns and early experiences that may be shaping how you think, feel and relate to others today.
Practice description
I offer an initial consultation, which gives us both the opportunity to meet and to think about whether working together feels right for you. There is no obligation to proceed, and it is important to me that you feel comfortable before making any commitment.
Should you decide to go ahead, I offer therapy on a once or twice weekly basis, depending on what suits your needs and circumstances. Sessions are 50 minutes and are held at a regular time each week, which helps to create a sense of continuity and safety in the work.
I work both in person and online.
My first session
The first session is a consultation at my usual rate, and is a chance for us to meet without any pressure or commitment to continue.
It is an opportunity for you to tell me, in your own words, what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping for. It also gives us both the chance to get a sense of whether we feel we can work well together, which I believe is an important part of the process.
There is nothing you need to prepare or complete beforehand. Simply coming and talking is enough.
