I currently offer counselling sessions both online and in person. My availability includes weekday daytime and selected evening appointments, allowing flexibility for clients with different schedules.

I aim to provide a consistent and supportive space, and I will always do my best to accommodate individual needs where possible. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss current availability or arrange an initial consultation.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever may be troubling you at your own pace. I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I believe the therapeutic relationship is an important part of feeling safe, heard, and understood.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual, as I recognise that no two people experience life in the same way. I work integratively, drawing from different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs, experiences, and goals. Together, we can explore patterns, emotions, relationships, and life experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing, while also developing greater self-awareness and resilience.

I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship challenges, self-esteem issues, loss, life transitions, and feeling overwhelmed or stuck. I also welcome clients who may not have a clear reason for seeking therapy but feel that something is not quite right.

I aim to create a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgement. Therapy can offer an opportunity not only to process difficulties, but also to gain clarity, strengthen coping strategies, and reconnect with yourself in a more meaningful way.

Sessions are available online and/or in person. I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, and we can discuss what feels most appropriate for you during an initial consultation.

Practice description

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that each person is the expert of their own life and has the capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding when provided with the right conditions. My role is not to direct or advise, but to walk alongside you with empathy, authenticity, and acceptance as you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

I work collaboratively, offering a safe and confidential environment where you can speak openly without fear of judgement. I value each person as an individual and recognise that everyone’s experiences and challenges are unique. Therapy can provide space to reflect, gain clarity, process difficult emotions, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.

My first session

I understand that attending your first counselling session can feel both unfamiliar and daunting, so I aim to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment from the very beginning.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and to explore what has brought you to counselling at this time. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with, and you are encouraged to speak at your own pace. I will also explain how I work, discuss confidentiality, and answer any questions you may have about the counselling process.

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is an important foundation for therapy. The first session allows space for you to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me and whether counselling feels right for you at this stage.

I may ask some gentle questions about your current situation, wellbeing, and any previous experience of therapy in order to gain an understanding of your needs and how I can best support you. Together, we can discuss what you hope to gain from counselling and whether you would prefer short-term or longer-term support.
