About me and my therapy practice
Neurodiversity brings with it unique strengths, but also difficulties. Are you experiencing a heightened sensory experience, struggles with change, burnout, pressure of external expectations. As a autistic therapist with lived experience dealing with many of the same challenges, I bring empathy and a genuine understanding into every session.
How I support the autistic / adhd community-
- autistic / ADHD / AuDHD burnout recovery
- executive dysfunction,
- the complex process of unmasking,
- nervous system regulation
- sensory overload
- emotional regulation
as well as many other challenges.
My Approach-
My approach to therapy is a person centred approach that is a adapted to suit individuals on the autistic / ADHD spectrum. This is done by using the positive openness of a person centred approach that allows the freedom of all feelings to be explored and heard while providing a structure that allows the individual to feel secure and where they can work towards positive change.
About me-
I was diagnosed with Asperger's which is a form of autism when I was 8 years old.
I have struggled myself with living in a world built for neurotypicals through childhood and into adult life. I am blessed to now have a passion and opportunity to help and support the neurodiverse community who have struggled with many of the same aspects of life.
Special interests of mine between now and then have ranged from dinosaurs to lord of the rings and I'm happy to hear all about yours too :)

Consultation-
I offer an in initial free consultation call where we can discuss what you would like to bring to counselling and how I might best support you through the process as well as any other questions you might have.
I also offer zoom calls for consultations if you would feel more comfortable doing it this way.
We can agree on a time, date and location for sessions after the initial consultation once you are happy to commit to the process.
My first session
Before the first session once we have agreed on a time, date and location for sessions I will send over my counselling contract.
This is for you to look over, sign and get back to me before the start of our session.
