About me and my therapy practice
Individuals who come to my practice may feel under pressure to cope in ways that might not reflect how they truly feel. They may be carrying emotions or experiences that are hard to express, or struggling in ways that might not have clear explanations. Many may be seeking a space where they don’t need to filter themselves or pretend they are coping better than they are.
I offer a welcoming space where you can begin to make sense of your experiences. Together, we work at your pace, allowing time for reflection, understanding, and self-exploration in a way that feels right for you.
I work primarily from a Person-Centred approach, creating a space grounded in warmth, patience, and genuine care. I work alongside you, supporting you as you sit with what is present and explore your experiences, in your own way and at your own pace. My approach is shaped not only by my professional training, but also by my lived experience.
It can feel exhausting to feel like you have to face things on your own. You don’t have to have the right words or a clear reason to begin. If you’re looking for a space where you can be heard, accepted, and supported without any pressure, you’re warmly invited to reach out.
Practice description
I offer in-person appointments in Hull.
I offer online appointments via Zoom (with end to end encryption enabled for privacy purposes).
I currently have day time and evening appointments available.
My first session
I offer a free 15‑minute consultation via telephone or Zoom. This gives you a chance to meet me, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of how I work.
If we decide to work together, our first session will involve a warm welcome. We will gently explore what brings you to therapy at this time and what you hope to achieve. We will also discuss the terms of therapy in the first session so that you know what to expect in our work together.
