About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor counselling to your individual needs. I recognise that every person is unique, and I will work collaboratively with you to find an approach that feels supportive and meaningful.
I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I believe that feeling heard, understood, and accepted can create the foundation for positive change.
Together, we may explore current challenges, past experiences, patterns of thinking and behaviour, relationships, and emotional difficulties. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to support you in developing greater self-awareness, understanding your experiences, and finding your own way forward.
I work with adults experiencing a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and life transitions. Whether you are seeking support for a specific concern or looking to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, I will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
As a BACP Registered Counsellor and MBACP member, I am committed to working ethically and professionally in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that counselling remains a respectful, supportive, and confidential experience.
Practice description
Welcome. I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a significant step, and finding the right counsellor is an important part of the process.
As a BACP Registered Counsellor and MBACP member, I offer a warm, supportive, and confidential space where you can talk openly about the challenges you may be facing. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental environment where you feel heard, valued, and understood.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs rather than following a single approach. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and relationships, helping you gain greater self-awareness and understanding.
I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship issues, grief and loss, and life transitions. Whether you are struggling with a specific issue or feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, counselling can offer a space to reflect, process emotions, and work towards positive change.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is central to effective counselling. I will work alongside you with empathy, respect, and compassion, supporting you at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation by telephone. This is an opportunity for us to briefly discuss what has brought you to counselling, explore your needs, and think about how we might work together.
There is no obligation to continue after this call. It is also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about therapy, my approach, and what you can expect from working with me.
If you decide to proceed, the first full counselling session will be charged at my standard session rate. The fee remains the same for all subsequent sessions.
During the initial consultation, I may ask some brief questions to help understand your current situation and what you are hoping to gain from counselling. This helps ensure that I can offer appropriate support or, where needed, signpost you to other services.
