About me and my therapy practice
A warm, informal 15-minute introductory call gives us a chance to talk about what you need and see whether I am the right counsellor for you. I work with clients of all ages who may look as though they are coping on the outside but feel overwhelmed, exhausted or stuck underneath. Many are neurodivergent, including people with ADHD, autism or AuDHD, or are exploring whether this may explain their experiences. Together, we make sense of what is happening, develop self-understanding and find practical, sustainable ways forward.
I specialise in neurodiversity, ADHD, autism, AuDHD, PDA and executive functioning, alongside anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation and life transitions. I offer a warm, person-centred approach informed by CBT and coaching, helping you understand yourself and develop strategies that fit the way you actually work.
You may have spent years feeling that you should be coping better, while privately feeling overwhelmed, stuck or different. You don't need to have everything worked out before you come. Therapy is a space to slow down, make sense of your experiences and be understood without judgement. If this resonates with you, you’re welcome to reach out.
Practice description
I offer counselling in a quiet peaceful rural setting near Grantham as well as walk and talk therapy and online sessions. Some clients prefer a blend of in person and online to suit their needs - this can work very well when coping with family and / or work commitments.
I am an integrative counsellor, counselling lecturer and MSc Psychology graduate. I am a Member of the BACP (MBACP) and hold a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling, with additional training in CBT, DBT, wellbeing coaching and therapeutic work with neurodivergent clients.
I have experience working with bereavement, sexual abuse and other trauma in different settings, including private practice, schools and NGOs. I work with children (6 and up), teens, young people and adults of all ages. I have experience working with neurodivergence including Autism, ADD/ADHD, AuDHD, giftedness and PDA.
Please note that the rates may vary for home visits and family therapy – contact me for details.
My first session
In your first session, we begin by talking about how counselling works, what you can expect, and how confidentiality is managed, so you feel clear and informed from the start. You’re welcome to ask any questions about my practice, what I offer, my training and credentials.
We then explore what brings you to therapy, what feels most difficult right now, and what you hope might change. Together we outline initial goals and, if you decide you would like to continue, agree on a regular time for your sessions going forward.
