About me and my therapy practice

There are times in life when it can be helpful to have someone alongside us as we try to make sense of where we find ourselves. I am an attentive and empathetic therapist, offering a safe space to reflect, explore and make sense of what brings you to therapy. The relationship between therapist and client is central to good therapy, so finding someone who feels right for you matters. I believe it is important to feel genuinely seen and heard, and to have the time and space to explore what is happening with care and curiosity.

Feeling knotted by difficult life experiences can happen to us all. Therapy provides an opportunity for gently loosening these strands, to better understand our thoughts and feelings and the situation we find ourselves in. As we begin to make sense of what has become tangled, we can recognise our own needs, find greater freedom to respond differently and feel more empowered in the choices we make.

Practice description

I am an integrative therapist, drawing on different therapeutic approaches and tailoring our work to you and what you need. I have extensive experience of NHS Adult Mental Health settings, including on placement at a Mother and Baby Unit in South London. I support people through times of transition and change, whether becoming a parent, exploring questions around gender identity, navigating changes in relationships or work, or moving into new stages of life. I also support clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, self-doubt and feeling stuck.

I have a background in higher education as a researcher, writer and lecturer in contemporary performance. My work explored intimacy, relationships, ethics and what happens when two people really attend to one another. Moving into therapeutic work has felt like a natural continuation of this interest in human connection.

If it feels useful, we can also draw on creativity or the arts in our work together. I am interested in the relationship between mind and body, and exploring bodily sensations and awareness can sometimes offer another way of understanding what we are feeling.

I work with adults and adolescents and am fully registered with the BACP, working in accordance with its ethical framework and commitment to respect diversity. I currently offer adult sessions on Sundays in central Crouch End, with more flexibility available online.

I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute Zoom call so that we can say hello, talk briefly about what brings you to therapy, and see whether we might be a good fit.

I look forward to hearing from you.
