About me and my therapy practice
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and offer online therapy in a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
My approach combines person-centred therapy with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), allowing us to explore what you are experiencing while keeping our work focused on what matters most to you. I believe that every person is different, so I tailor our sessions to your individual needs, experiences and goals, working collaboratively with you to support positive and meaningful change.
You may be coming to therapy because you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, lacking in confidence, or struggling to cope with something in your life. Whatever has brought you to therapy, I offer a safe space where you can talk openly, feel heard and explore what you are going through without judgement.
Practice description
My practice is centred around creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect and openness. I understand that beginning counselling can feel unfamiliar, and I aim to make the process as comfortable and accessible as possible. There is no pressure to know exactly what you want to say or where to begin; our sessions can develop naturally around what feels important to you.
During our work together, I will take the time to understand your circumstances and listen to your experiences from your perspective. We can explore the difficulties you are facing, consider how they may be affecting your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and identify ways forward that feel realistic and meaningful for you.
I recognise that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. Some people may benefit from having space to reflect and make sense of their experiences, while others may want to develop practical tools and strategies to manage particular challenges. I can adapt our work accordingly, ensuring that sessions remain relevant to where you are and what you would like to achieve.
As sessions are delivered online, you can access counselling from a place where you feel comfortable and at ease. My aim is for you to leave sessions feeling listened to, understood and supported as you work towards greater clarity, self-awareness and positive change.
My first session
In our first session, we will complete an initial assessment and talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you would like support with, and what you hope to gain from therapy.
The first session is a full-length session and is charged at the standard session rate. If you are unsure whether counselling with me is the right fit, I offer a free 10-minute telephone consultation beforehand to discuss your needs and answer any initial questions. You can send an email with contact details and I will be happy to contact you.
I will also send you a contract by email for you to read and agree to before we begin our work together.
You are free to end therapy whenever you feel it is appropriate, and there is no requirement to commit to a set number of sessions.
