About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist working with adults and young people over 18. Alongside my private practice, I also support individuals from performing arts backgrounds, with particular experience in contemporary dance and the wider performing arts sector.
Before training as a therapist, I spent many years working in the arts and charity sectors, including roles within contemporary circus, dance and performance. This has given me a deep understanding of the pressures that can accompany creative and performance‑based environments — high expectations, demanding training, and the emotional challenges of public‑facing work.
I have experience supporting young people and adults aged 13–24, and I welcome clients from a wide range of backgrounds, with a primary focus on adults. While I have a particular interest in working with performers and those in competitive or high‑pressure settings, I work with anyone navigating life’s challenges and seeking a safe, reflective space to explore their experiences.
Practice description
My approach is integrative, drawing on three core modalities that I blend and adapt to suit each individual client. At the heart of my work is a person‑centred and humanistic foundation, offering a supportive, confidential and non‑judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly.
Alongside this, I integrate psychodynamic understanding to help us make sense of how past experiences and relational patterns may be influencing your present life. Where helpful, I also incorporate CBT‑informed techniques, offering practical tools to support you in managing difficult thoughts, emotions or behaviours.
People come to therapy for many different reasons — feeling overwhelmed, experiencing anxiety or low mood, navigating relationship challenges, or coping with a significant life event. Our work together can help you deepen your self‑awareness, understand your experiences more fully, and find ways of moving forward that feel authentic and sustainable for you.
I offer both short‑term counselling and longer‑term therapy, depending on your needs and what feels most supportive.
My first session
I offer a free 15‑minute introductory call, giving us a chance to briefly explore what has brought you to therapy and to get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit.
If you decide to proceed, I will send a short assessment form and a working agreement for you to review before our first session.
