About me and my therapy practice

I’m an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults online and in person in East London.

I believe therapy works best when it feels genuinely tailored to you. My approach draws on a range of evidence-based methods, which means I adapt how we work depending on what you need, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.

I trained at the University of East London and had the privilege of working with clients in the NHS and at Place2Be. I hold a PhD in developmental psychology from Birkbeck University of London and have spent many years supporting staff wellbeing through reflective practice within the third sector. This breadth of experience informs the thoughtful, grounded way I work.

Practice description

The clients I work with seek therapy when they feel stuck in patterns they can't quite shift or go through a change that's harder than expected. I often work with those navigating mental health and neurodivergence diagnoses, clients who feel dissociated and unreal, or have a sense that they do not belong and struggle with forming and maintaining relationships.

Supporting clients of all backgrounds, I create a warm and unhurried space where you may feel safe enough to explore what's really going on beneath the surface. I’ll listen carefully and work with you to understand not just what you’re experiencing, but where it might be coming from; because often our early relationships and experiences shape how we feel about ourselves and others in ways we’re not always aware of.

My approach is relational, I place the emphasis on the quality of our relationship, ensuring that you feel held and psychologically safe. I draw primarily on psychodynamic principles, aiming to explore our relationships blueprints and humanistic ideas around our capacity for growth and change. Where helpful, I may also bring in ideas from other modalities, always in service of what feels most useful for you.

We’ll check in regularly about how the work is feeling and what you’d like to focus on. My hope is that over time you’ll develop a clearer sense of yourself, greater resilience, more confidence in your choices, and a stronger feeling of being at home in your own life.

If any of this resonates, I’d warmly encourage you to get in touch.

My first session

In the initial session we will discuss what brought you to therapy, your current challenges and explore and what you are hoping to get out of the process.

This will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions about how I work, and to establish whether I am the right therapist for you.

This session is 50 minutes and is charged at the standard rate.
