About me and my therapy practice

My approach is relational and collaborative, drawing on person-centred and psychodynamic principles. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or labels, I am interested in understanding you as a whole person - including your relationships, history, emotions, body, patterns of coping, and the parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside or left unheard.

Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I have over eight years’ experience working in sleep and respiratory services and continue to work as a Senior Sleep Physiologist. This has given me a particular interest in the relationship between emotional wellbeing, stress, sleep, insomnia and the body. Sleep difficulties are rarely separate from the rest of our lives, and where appropriate, we may explore how your emotional life and sleep influence one another.

I believe that many of the difficulties we experience make sense when understood in the context of our lives and relationships. Therapy offers a space to slow down, think together, and better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, creating greater self-understanding, emotional steadiness and more freedom in how you live.

Practice description

I aim to offer a calm, compassionate and confidential space where you can speak openly without fear of judgement. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, sleep difficulties, insomnia, or simply feel that something isn’t quite right, therapy provides an opportunity to explore your experiences at a pace that feels manageable.

Sessions are usually held weekly and last around 60 minutes. There is no fixed commitment to a set number of sessions. Some people come for shorter-term support around a particular difficulty, while others choose longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change. We regularly review our work together to ensure therapy continues to meet your needs.

I offer psychotherapy both online across the UK and in person in Canary Wharf, London. Before beginning therapy, I offer a complimentary 20-minute introductory phone or video call so we can discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and decide whether working together feels like the right fit.

Session fees: £80 online | £100 in person (Canary Wharf).

My first session

Before beginning therapy, I offer a complimentary 20-minute introductory phone or video call. This gives us a chance to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, any questions you may have, and whether working together feels like the right fit.

The first full session is an opportunity for us to begin understanding what has brought you to therapy and what you may be hoping for. You do not need to arrive with everything clearly worked out. Some people come with a clear sense of what they want help with, while others simply know that something does not feel right.

I may ask about your current situation, relevant background, previous experience of therapy, and what you would like from the work. We will also discuss practicalities such as confidentiality, session times, fees, cancellations, and how we might work together.
