About me and my therapy practice

I work as an integrative humanistic Gestalt counsellor, which means I see you as a whole person. I believe that sometimes what we need most isn’t someone to give us answers — it’s someone who can sit alongside us, really listen, and help us make sense of what’s going on.

My approach is humanistic, Gestalt, empathic and creative. I’m interested in you as a whole person — your thoughts, feelings, body, relationships and experiences — and in what is happening for you in the here and now. We can use creativity and different ways of exploring things when words alone don't quite capture what you're experiencing. Counselling doesn’t always have to be about finding the “right” words. Sometimes we might use imagery, metaphor, drawing, objects or other creative ways of exploring what’s going on.

I offer a warm, compassionate and creative space where you can come exactly as you are.

As someone with ADHD, I have lived experience of being neurodivergent and understand the daily invisible challenges that are encountered. It can mean feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, like you’re “too much”, “not enough”, or constantly trying to work out how to fit in. I’m passionate about creating a space where you don’t have to mask or perform. You can simply be you.

As a Queer Woman, I support LGBTQ+ clients and offer an affirming, space to explore identity, relationships, gender and the experiences that can come with being LGBTQ+.

I work with a range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, grief and loss, neurodivergence, LGBTQ+ issues and gender identity.

Most importantly, I want you to feel that you can be yourself with me. There is no expectation that you arrive with everything figured out. We can take things at your pace, together.

If you're considering counselling, you’re welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation and see whether I might be the right counsellor for you.

Practice description

My Practice is based in Rough Common just outside Canterbury. There is off street parking available. My practice is accessible with no steps to my counselling office.

I offer three types of sessions, in person, online and Walk-and -Talk Therapy.

In person sessions are held in my private counselling room.  I have designed it to be accessible to clients with sensory processing needs.  A video tour and photos can be explored on my website.

Online sessions take place from my counselling room ensuring consistency and your privacy.

Walk-and-Talk Therapy takes place in the ancient, beautiful Blean woodland.  Walk-and-Talk Therapy is counselling that happens while we walk together following an agreed route.  Talking can feel easier when you are moving and side by side, not face to face.
