About me and my therapy practice

My practice is based on Humanistic psychotherapy. Humanistic therapy sees people as whole individuals, not simply a set of symptoms, thoughts or behaviours. It focuses on your unique experience of the world, how you relate to others, and how you relate to yourself.

I do not diagnose or label. Instead, I offer a safe, confidential and compassionate space where, together, we can explore your experiences with curiosity, honesty and care. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you deepen your self-awareness, understand yourself more fully, and discover what feels authentic and meaningful for you.

My approach is genuine and relational. I aim to meet you where you are and connect with you in the present moment. Therapy is not about being given advice or quick solutions. It is a collaborative process where we work together to explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships and life experiences. At times I may offer reflections, observations or gentle challenges to help bring greater awareness to patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

I understand the importance of feeling seen, heard and valued, and of having a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgement. I believe meaningful and lasting change can happen when we feel accepted for who we are and supported in becoming more fully ourselves.

Whether you are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties/issues, low self-esteem, grief, loss, life transitions, or simply want to understand yourself on a deeper level, I offer a warm, supportive space where healing, growth and self-discovery can take place.

I am based in Golders Green, North West London area, where I see clients in person. I also provide online counselling for clients across the United Kingdom and internationally.

Practice description

When you come to therapy with me, my aim is to provide a welcoming space where you feel safe and comfortable to explore whatever is bringing you. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, and I believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change.

My approach is Humanistic, drawing on Person-Centred, Gestalt principles and Integrative. I work collaboratively, with curiosity, compassion and respect, helping you explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Rather than telling you what to do, I support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself and what you need.

Sessions are guided by what feels most important to you. Together we may explore anxiety, relationships of any kind, loss, self-esteem, family dynamics, life transitions, or patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck. I am also trauma-informed. I may gently invite awareness of your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and experiences in the present moment, helping you gain greater insight into yourself and your relationships.

What you can expect from me is warmth, realness, empathy, honesty and acceptance. At times I may offer observations or gentle challenges to support deeper awareness, always within a safe and supportive environment.

Therapy is not about fixing you. It is about creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, understood and empowered to make choices that feel authentic to who you are. Whether you are facing a specific difficulty or seeking a greater understanding of yourself, I offer a space where all parts of you are welcome.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a safe, supportive and confidential space. I will explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and we will explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from counselling. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss, trauma, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you are welcome to bring whatever feels important to you.

There is no expectation to tell me everything at once. We will work at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful of your needs. As an humanistic integrative therapist, I tailor my approach to each individual, recognising that everyone's experiences and journey are unique.

Our first session is about beginning to understand your story, your current circumstances, and what life feels like for you. Together, we will consider what you would like to achieve through therapy and whether my approach feels like the right fit for you.

Most importantly, this session gives you the opportunity to experience what it feels like to work with me. Feeling safe, seen, heard and understood is an important foundation for effective therapy, and finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is an essential part of the therapeutic process.
