About me and my therapy practice

Hello, thanks for taking the time to consider my profile. I am a Psychotherapist based in Glasgow, offering online 1:1 therapy with clients across the UK. I also facilitate therapeutic groups in my local community. 

If you're reading this, it is likely you are facing some challenges and have decided to seek support. Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting. It's okay if you're not sure where to begin or what you're looking for yet. You don't need to have everything figured out before making contact. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, confused, or simply curious about therapy, we can start wherever you are.

Practice description

At the heart of my work is a person-centred approach that values collaboration, respect, and your autonomy. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and able to explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. I believe that one of the most important aspects of our work together is creating a safe and supportive relationship. This can provide a foundation from which you feel able to turn towards parts of yourself that may feel challenging, with greater understanding, compassion, and self-acceptance.

My core training is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and group work, and I integrate ideas from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, compassion-focused work, and strengths-based practice. This allows me to adapt therapy to your unique needs rather than expecting you to fit a particular model.

My first session

I understand that contacting a therapist can feel overwhelming. I offer a free 30 minute consultation via telephone or video. This is a relaxed, informal conversation where we can get to know one another, discuss what you're looking for, and see whether working together feels right for you. There is no pressure to commit to therapy, and you're welcome to take time afterwards to decide what feels best for you.
