About me and my therapy practice

Creating a safe and confidential space for clients to express what you feel you cannot share or burden others with is so important when on the journey of self awareness.

Life at times can feel confusing and overwhelming. Past experiences can weigh on your ability to function day to day. Or you may feel as though you need a space to work things through with someone who cares about your wellbeing, but you don’t want to share your anxiety with loved ones.

As a Counsellor I endeavour to facilitate an empathetic and non judgemental space for clients to bring parts of self that they are uncomfortable with due to current or past pain

Areas that I specialise in include life transitions, trauma, bereavement, addiction, chronic illness, end of life, divorce, parenting, existential anxiety, young persons issues, sexual abuse in childhood and adulthood and personal relationship issues. I bring warmth, safety, a wealth of life experience and the ability to be the vessel and the mirror for what ever you feel you need to bring to the sessions.

Practice description

I offer Face to Face in Kensington and Online sessions.

Each session lasts 50 minutes. I offer an initial assessment at a discount, followed by a block of 6 sessions. I work on a rolling contract in blocks after that.

Sessions are client led. I practice the Humanistic model incorporating Person Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. I draw from other areas such as meditation, creative writing and drawing, walking therapy and  movement.

My first session

In our first session together we will cover what has brought you to therapy. What your family of origin looks like and information about your lifestyle, emergency contact details, any past major events you feel may be relevant and anything in your current situation that is affecting you.

We will go through our contract together and agree on a weekly time to meet. I can answer any questions you may have.

Over the coming weeks working together we will discover if we are a good fit, in the penultimate session we will agree whether to continue. I find the that block model works well for clients as stressful moments in life can lead to further areas that you feel you want to work on. We can also continue working together  longer term.
