About me and my therapy practice

I provide a welcoming, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space for adults, veterans, military families, and children facing emotional challenges, trauma, bereavement, or life transitions.

In addition to talking therapy, I offer Animal-Assisted Therapy with Labradors and Walk & Talk Therapy, offering adaptable, comfortable counselling options.

My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and tailored to each client’s unique needs.

I am fluent in both English and French and can offer therapy in either language.

Practice description

I am trained in Integrative Counselling, drawing from various therapeutic theories to meet each client’s distinct needs. I tailor therapy to be safe, supportive, and effective.

My work is relational, compassionate and trauma-informed, with a strong focus on building trust and creating emotional safety within the therapeutic relationship.

I may integrate creative and experiential methods, such as Animal-Assisted Therapy with Labradors, Walk & Talk Therapy, and sensory grounding. These techniques foster emotional expression and awareness for clients who find verbal communication challenging.

I believe therapy should meet clients where they are, allowing space for reflection, emotional processing and healing at a pace that feels right for them.

My first session

Your first session is a chance for us to meet, get to know each other, and begin creating a space where you feel comfortable and supported. Before we meet, I’ll invite you to complete a short questionnaire so I can better understand you and what has brought you to therapy.

I’ll also confirm whether you would like one of the therapy dogs to join us for the session.

This first meeting is gentle and informal — there’s no pressure to share everything straight away. It’s an opportunity to talk about what you’re hoping for, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
