About me and my therapy practice

Trauma, anxiety, depression, low mood, these are often what brings someone to counselling in the first place. My work meets each of these with the same starting point: respect for the person in front of me, not a fixed process.

I draw on thirty years of experience supporting people in education and community settings, my therapy is rooted, in knowing that people are complex and varied.

I also bring experience supporting LGBTQ+ people, neurodivergent individuals and those living with the after effects of trauma. The space I provide is safe, confidential and affirming.

I trained at Keele University as a person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist, working in a humanistic way, to Master's level.

Practice description

What to Expect

Sessions are unhurried, whether meeting online (UK-wide) or face-to-face in Shropshire.

  • Structure: Sessions are 50 minutes long, held at a regular weekly or fortnightly time.
  • Timeline: The work continues for as long as it remains helpful, with no fixed number of sessions. We can review how things are going naturally as we move along, and agree an ending together when the time feels right.
  • Framework: For peace of mind, this practice is guided by the BACP Ethical Framework and supported by regular professional clinical supervision.
