About me and my therapy practice

As an AuDHD (autistic and ADHD) person, I know what it's like to feel different in the world. I am open about being a neurodivergent practitioner and find that people often reach out because of this openness. I offer a space where difference is not only accepted but valued, where you can explore who you are without judgment. I believe that mental health is not just about diagnosis or labels, but about how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us. So, whether you're navigating anxiety, low mood, burnout, identity questions, or feeling overwhelmed, therapy can offer a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect.

I see clients both online and outdoors. Therapy with me can be experimental, experiential, creative, and playful, or it can be reflective, quiet and gentle. There’s no one way to do this. That said, I often invite imagination, playfulness and creativity, where appropriate, to support you to explore your experiences and access things that might be difficult.

I have over a decade of experience supporting teens, adults, and families. My background is in primary school education, disability services social care, and systemic family therapy with teenagers on the edge of care. I am particularly experienced working with disability and transition to adulthood.

Whether you are new to therapy or have been attending therapy for years, a warm welcome to you! I believe that healing happens in relationship, and I’d be honoured to walk alongside you as you explore your inner world.

Practice description

I practice Humanistic therapy which means that while we will explore your experiences together, I believe that ultimately you have the answers. My background is in a modality of systemic family therapy, and at points it may be helpful for us to consider the impact of patterns in your family system. I often bring creativity and play into our work as this can make difficult feelings more tolerable.

I offer therapy to people aged 14+. I often work with people exploring their identity, particularly neurodivergent people, queer people, and people exploring spirituality and/or deconstructing religion. I also often work with people experiencing life transitions like moving into adulthood, migration, and career/life changes. Many people I work with are new to therapy and I can support you in understanding the therapy relationship.

I offer online therapy, outdoor therapy at the foot of the South Downs, and indoor therapy from a private, cosy office space in my garden in Bevendean Brighton (from October 2026). In exceptional circumstances I may be able to offer home visits.

Whether we are indoors, outdoors, or online play and creativity often feature in therapy sessions with me.  I find that play and creativity can help us access feelings and memories that can sometimes feel too difficult and overwhelming. Playfulness and creativity in therapy can look like: using the sand tray, art materials, picture cards, tarot cards, toys and stuffed animals, fidget toys, objects we find in nature, and much more. Even using our bodies and experimenting with the space around us can be playful and creative. I am an advocate for adult play and can be alongside you as you explore your relationship with playfulness and your inner child.

My first session

After you reach out to me I will endeavor to get back to you within 3 working days. It's often helpful for us to have a free 20 min phone or video call. During the call I will ask you a bit more about yourself and what is bringing you to therapy. We can talk about session times and fee structures and see if it feels like a good fit. After the call I will send you some more information including the counselling agreement.

I use the Sliding Scale of Economic Justice with fees set at £60, £70, or £80 per 50-min session (scaled up proportionally for 80-min sessions). You choose the fee based on what feels most accessible for you.

During the first session we will look at the counselling agreement together and you can ask any questions that you might have about it. We can also talk about any reasonable adjustments you feel you might benefit from that could help you access therapy - such as changes in lighting or seating arrangements.

If you feel that outdoor therapy would be a good fit, we will initially meet indoors or online and use the first session to talk about how outdoor therapy works and agree a routine that works for us. For example, you may want to walk and talk or sit and stay.

The first session is primarily for us to get to know each other a bit better and think about what you want and need from the therapy process.
