About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Simon, a registered MBACP psychodynamic therapist working with adults in private practice. I trained at The Manor House Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling in North London, and have also worked for several years within a community counselling service, supporting adults facing a wide range of emotional, relational and life challenges.
Life can look one way on the outside while feeling very different on the inside.
Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or disconnected, struggling with relationships, loss, trauma, self-esteem or pressures at work. You may be navigating a significant life change, experiences of difference or neurodiversity, or simply finding that familiar patterns in your life are becoming harder to understand. Equally, you may not be able to pinpoint exactly what feels wrong, but have a sense that something needs to change.
Therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect and explore what is happening in your life with greater curiosity and compassion. At the heart of our work together is developing a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings and relationships, in a confidential, thoughtful and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and at your own pace.
Practice description
Psychodynamic therapy explores how our early experiences, relationships and ways of coping can continue to influence how we think, feel and relate to others today. By exploring these patterns together, therapy can support greater self-understanding, emotional insight and meaningful change.
I work with adults, offering both short-term and longer-term psychodynamic therapy on a weekly basis. Sessions are available in person from my consulting rooms or online.
My first session
I offer a complimentary, no-obligation 20-minute introductory phone call to hear what brings you to therapy, answer any initial questions and explain more about my approach.
If it feels right, we can then arrange a 50-minute first consultation, charged at our agreed fee. This gives us time to explore what brings you to therapy and whether working together feels right. If we decide to continue, we can discuss practical arrangements, including session times, fees and our therapeutic agreement.
