About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Laura. I'm a humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist with a Gestalt-informed approach, offering online therapy to adults across London and beyond. I offer a warm, relational space where you can explore what's happening for you at your own pace.
Perhaps you've spent a long time feeling like you don't quite fit. You might be used to masking, people-pleasing, putting other people's needs before your own, or holding everything together for everyone else. You may look as though you're coping while feeling very different on the inside.
How counselling can help you
Therapy can be a place where you don't have to do that.
I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent people, and I am neurodivergent myself. I understand how exhausting it can be to feel that you need to adapt, mask or fit yourself into expectations that don't feel like they were made for you.
I don't see therapy as being about fixing something that is wrong with you. Instead, I believe that being met with acceptance, compassion and genuine curiosity can help us understand ourselves differently. Together, we can explore the experiences, relationships and patterns that have shaped how you see yourself and the world around you.
My humanistic approach means that I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work. I want you to feel able to bring your whole self into the room, without needing to perform or have everything worked out beforehand. You don't need to know exactly what's wrong, or even what you want from therapy, before we begin.
My Gestalt leaning means that I may invite you to notice what is happening for you in the here and now: your thoughts, feelings, bodily responses and what you notice happening between us. We can become curious about patterns that may be difficult to see on your own and explore what you might need in the present.
Practice description
Who I work with
I have experience working with people who have experienced trauma, domestic abuse, sexual trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression and bereavement. I am particularly interested in working with neurodivergent people and LGBTQ+ clients, as well as women's issues, and I aim to offer therapy that is inclusive, accepting and responsive to each person's individual experience.
What to expect in our sessions
Our first session is an opportunity for us to meet and for you to get a sense of what it might be like to work together. You don't need to prepare anything or know exactly what you want to talk about. We can take some time to think about what has brought you to counselling and what you might hope for from therapy, while also seeing how it feels to be together in the space.
My first session
My aim is to offer you a first appointment, known as an assessment session, within 1-2 weeks, and this session can be up to 50 minutes and will be charged at £30.
In this session, we will explore what brings you to therapy, and it will be a chance for us to discuss our work together and see if we're a good fit. However, waiting times will vary depending on finding a mutually available time.
What I can help with
Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Depression, Identity issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, Menopause, Neurodiversity, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues

About me and my therapy practice
Perhaps you've become very good at holding everything together for everyone else, while feeling overwhelmed, anxious or disconnected underneath. You may have spent years masking, people-pleasing or feeling that you don't quite fit.
I'm Laura, a humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist with a Gestalt-informed approach. My approach is rooted in authenticity, curiosity and connection. I believe therapy works best when you feel able to bring your whole self into the room, without judgement, pressure or needing to “perform” wellness. I aim to offer a space where you can feel genuinely seen, heard and accepted.
I have had twenty years working within the education sector in Primary schools supporting staff and families.
Alongside my professional training, I bring my own humanity into my work. I’m a colourful person, a dog lover, and someone who values warmth, creativity and realness within relationships.
I also work alongside my trained therapy dog, Clementine, who can be present during sessions if this feels supportive for you. For many people, the presence of a calm and gentle dog can help therapy feel more grounding and emotionally safe. Dogs can offer comfort, regulate anxiety, reduce feelings of isolation and provide a soothing presence during difficult conversations. Some people find it easier to open up with an animal nearby, while others simply enjoy the sense of calm and connection they can bring.
Of course, Clementine’s presence is always optional, and sessions can take place with or without her depending on your preference and needs.

I believe therapy is not about being “fixed”, but about being met authentically and with compassion. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing and growth can emerge through awareness, connection and understanding ourselves more deeply.
