About me and my therapy practice

You probably aren’t reading this entirely happy. Maybe you sense that there’s not much more those around you can say about your problems. Maybe sharing your pain with another person has felt inconceivable. Either way, having a non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts and feelings – one that’s exclusively yours – can help.

As a person-centred counsellor, I aim to provide that space with warmth, humour and acceptance.

But what does person-centred therapy actually feel like?

Our sessions are always led by you. I won't bring my own agenda or pretend to know you better than you know yourself. You're the expert on your life – even if you don't quite realise it yet.

Person-centred therapy is based on the fundamental belief that the capacity for healing is already within you, but this doesn't mean you're alone in the process.

Rather than saying “That must be hard” repeatedly to the point that it begins to feel unhelpful, I am trained to be attentive to what you say – and what you don't – to better understand what you're feeling in all its complexity. In other words, all parts of you are welcome. I will also be real with you, sometimes sharing – where appropriate –  my own honest response to what you bring to our sessions instead of hiding behind a professional facade.

As well as a Level 5 Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, I hold an additional Level 4 qualification in Ethical Counselling for Substance Misuse. My work in counselling has also extended to research. In 2026, I presented findings on male victims of intimate partner abuse at the 32nd BACP International Research Conference.

Continuing to develop as a counsellor is important to me. Workshops I've found particularly valuable include working therapeutically with dreams and expressing anger safely.

Whether you know exactly what's making life difficult or just know that something needs to change, we can start there together.

Practice description

I offer 50-minute sessions in person, online and over the phone.

My in-person practice is based between Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye in a dedicated therapy room.

Sessions usually take place weekly and can continue for as long as they feel useful to you.

If you're interested in working together, please send me a message and we can arrange a free 15-minute phone call to discuss what's brought you to counselling and whether we might be a good fit.

My standard rate is £60, but I do have some concessionary spaces available if cost would otherwise be a barrier to accessing counselling.
