About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Matt and I am an integrative psychotherapist, beneath that, however, I am a human being and I understand that life can be stressful, challenging and sometimes frightening and we don’t know where to turn. The aim of my practice is for you to have someone that you can turn to, who shows and gives; empathy, compassion and a safe, nonjudgmental and open space to explore your thoughts and feelings. I believe the way through our problems in life is together and realising that we are not alone, so I always aim to connect with you and to see life through your eyes so I can provide the best support possible through a positive professional relationship. The world’s most vulnerable creation is the snowflake, alone it can only do so much, but together it is a force to be reckoned with.
At present I am 100% online however aiming to have an office in the near future, so if online therapy.
Practice description
I am an integrative psychotherapist meaning I am trained in multiple theories/modalities of psychotherapy.
Specifically; Person centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive behavioural, Attachment, Somatic (the body), Emotion focused therapy, Trauma informed and many more.
However, I believe the most important part of therapy practice is the relationship between us and the ability to just be human.
For the last 5 years I have worked in addiction services supporting those who had lost their sense of selves, families and how to cope. This experience has provided me with an insight and understanding on the impacts of complex trauma, attachment and existentialism.
My first session
At the beginning I understand you maybe nervous or anxious about therapy, especially because we don’t know each other yet. So I am more than happy to have a 10 minute initial discussion around what the therapy goals maybe and what it is you expect from the sessions.
If you are happy with the service, I will then provide you with a link via email to the therapy contract to sign as well as a link to a booking system where you can book your sessions wherever there is availability and when works for you.
Individual sessions price is listed above at £55
Session Block Booking price is £180 for 4 (£45/session)(paid upfront).
