About me and my therapy practice

About Me

I am a BACP-registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist based in London. I have worked across NHS, community, forensic and specialist services, supporting adults facing a wide range of difficulties. My experience has shown me that emotional struggles often make sense when understood in the context of a person's history, relationships, and unique circumstances.

I believe meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely heard and understood. I aim to offer a thoughtful, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences openly and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. I welcome individuals from diverse cultural, social, and personal backgrounds and strive to create a therapeutic relationship built on respect, curiosity, and authenticity.

My Practice

Our earliest relationships often influence how we experience ourselves and others. These patterns can continue into adulthood, shaping our relationships, emotions, and sense of wellbeing.

Therapy can be challenging. It often involves making space for feelings, thoughts and experiences that may have been avoided, suppressed or difficult to bear. Rather than offering solutions or telling you what to do, I aim to sit alongside you in that uncertainty and discomfort, helping us to think together about what emerges.

Through our therapeutic relationship, we may begin to notice recurring patterns, unconscious processes and ways of relating that influence your experiences in the present. Over time, this process can foster greater self-awareness, emotional resilience and the capacity to tolerate difficult feelings without becoming overwhelmed by them.

Practice description

My approach is primarily psychodynamic, grounded in the belief that lasting change comes not from quick fixes, advice or techniques, but from developing a deeper understanding of ourselves and our emotional lives.

I offer psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy for adults experiencing:

Anxiety and depression

Trauma and adverse life experiences

Relationship and attachment difficulties

Low self-esteem and identity concerns

Emotional dysregulation

Stress, overwhelm and life transitions

Personality and relational difficulties

Cultural identity and belonging issues

Available in-person in Bromley. I offer a confidential, reflective space to help clients gain deeper insight into themselves, improve emotional wellbeing and develop more fulfilling relationships.

My first session

Following your initial enquiry, we would arrange an initial meeting in person. The first two sessions are treated as a consultation period and are charged at my standard session fee. These meetings provide an opportunity for you to talk about what has brought you to therapy, and for me to gain a deeper understanding of your experiences, difficulties and hopes for the work. They also allow us to begin developing a sense of how it feels to work together.

Finding the right therapist is an important part of the therapeutic process, and these initial sessions give both of us the opportunity to consider whether we feel suited to working together. At the end of the consultation, we can reflect on the experience, discuss any questions you may have, and decide whether to proceed with ongoing therapy.
