About me and my therapy practice

I am a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist working with students, young adults, and adults who are experiencing periods of change, uncertainty, or feeling stuck.

You may be someone who appears to be coping well, but inside feels overwhelmed, anxious or unsure of yourself. Perhaps you are under pressure to achieve, struggling with self-doubt, questioning your direction, or finding it hard to cope.

If you have been finding things hard lately and need some support, I offer a safe space for us to explore together how you are feeling.

I have extensive experience working in university wellbeing and student support, helping students and young adults navigate challenges including anxiety, academic pressure, identity, and life transitions. I also work with adults who are exploring questions around self-esteem, burnout, purpose, and creating a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

Practice description

My approach is psychodynamic, which means we take time to explore not only what is happening in your life now, but also the experiences, relationships, beliefs, and patterns that may have shaped how you see yourself and the world. Developing a deeper understanding of yourself can help create space for meaningful change.

I offer a calm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where we can work together to explore what is going on for you and what you would like to understand or change.

I will help you reflect on patterns that may be difficult to recognise on your own, including the beliefs, expectations, and ways of coping that may once have been protective but are no longer serving you.

I am particularly interested in working with people who:

• feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted despite appearing capable and successful

• put a lot of pressure on themselves or struggle with perfectionism and self-criticism

• feel uncertain about who they are, what they want, or where they are heading

• are navigating transitions such as university, early adulthood, career changes, or periods of personal change

• find themselves repeating patterns in relationships

• want to understand themselves more deeply rather than simply manage symptoms

I aim to help you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and to feel more resilient and capable in how you respond to uncertainty or change.

I work in person in London Bridge and in Cambridge, as well as online.

I have regular clinical supervision and hold liability insurance.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation.

This is an opportunity for us to discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

Many people begin therapy without knowing exactly how to explain what they are experiencing, and that's okay. You do not need to have everything figured out before we begin.

During this consultation, we will explore what is bringing you to therapy, what feels most difficult at the moment, what you hope to gain from therapy, session times and cost, and whether my approach feels right for you.
