About me and my therapy practice

Trauma-informed | Neurodivergent-affirming | Integrative Counsellor

Everyone deserves to feel heard, understood and accepted.

If you've been feeling anxious, overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself, I want you to know that you're not broken, and you're not alone. Many of the people I work with have spent years questioning themselves, carrying emotional pain in silence or feeling like nobody truly understands what they're going through.

It's okay. You're safe here.

I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can simply be yourself. Whether you need to cry, sit in silence or take a moment to breathe, we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.

As a qualified integrative counsellor, I tailor therapy to your individual needs using person-centred, Gestalt and psychodynamic approaches. My practice is trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and I aim to create a space where you don't have to mask and feel accepted for who you are.

I have a particular interest in working with anxiety, trauma, relationship and attachment difficulties, low self-esteem and the lasting impact of emotionally unhealthy or abusive relationships. Together, we'll work towards helping you feel calmer, more grounded, develop greater self-trust and build a healthier relationship with yourself and others.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds. As a British Pakistani counsellor, I understand how culture, family expectations, faith and identity can influence emotional wellbeing and relationships. I offer counselling in English and can also communicate in Urdu and Mirpuri/Potwari where appropriate.

Practice description

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you've been carrying everything on your own for a long time. You don't need to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin. We'll start wherever feels right for you.

I don't believe you're broken. I believe you've adapted to what you've been through, and together we'll help you reconnect with yourself.

I believe your thoughts, emotions and behaviours often make sense in the context of what you've experienced. Therapy isn't about fixing you; it's about helping you understand yourself with greater compassion, reconnect with your strengths and develop greater self-trust.

As an integrative counsellor, I tailor therapy to your individual needs using person-centred, Gestalt and psychodynamic approaches.

Where appropriate, I may incorporate mindfulness, grounding exercises, breathing techniques and psychoeducation to help you better understand your emotions and nervous system, while developing practical skills you can use in everyday life.

My aim is not only to support you during therapy, but also to help you build the confidence and skills to support yourself long after therapy has ended.

Whether you're experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship or attachment difficulties, low self-esteem or emotional overwhelm, I'll walk alongside you with warmth, compassion and curiosity as you reconnect with yourself and move towards lasting change.

I offer online counselling in a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space. If you're unsure whether I'm the right therapist for you, please get in touch. I'd be happy to answer any questions.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely natural to feel nervous or unsure. You don't need to prepare anything or have the right words. Just bring yourself exactly as you are.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, explore what has brought you to therapy and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We'll move at a pace that feels safe, comfortable and right for you.

I currently offer online counselling. Face-to-face counselling may also be available in the future. If you have any questions before booking, you're welcome to contact me by email or telephone. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have, helping you decide whether working together feels right for you.

I offer a small number of concessionary spaces for students, single parents and people with disabilities. These spaces are limited and subject to availability.

My hope is that you'll leave your first session feeling heard, understood and accepted, with a clearer understanding of how we can work together and whether we're the right fit to continue working together.

Whether you're experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship or attachment difficulties, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm or major life changes, my role isn't to tell you what to do. I believe you already hold many of the answers within you. My role is to walk alongside you with warmth, compassion and curiosity, helping you reconnect with your inner wisdom, develop greater self-trust and discover what feels right for you.
