About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Shan! There isn’t a set way you need to be in therapy. You can bring whatever feels important to you, whether that’s something you’re struggling with right now, a pattern you keep finding yourself in, or something from your past that you’re trying to make sense of.
I am a Relational Integrative Psychotherapist I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted for who you are. I’ll listen carefully and, where helpful, gently challenge, reflect or offer a different perspective. We might focus on understanding your thoughts and behaviours, exploring emotions and relationships, or making connections between past experiences and how you feel today.
My role isn’t to tell you what to do, but to help you make sense of what’s happening and support you in finding your own way forward. The work will evolve with you, rather than following a fixed formula.
I have experience supporting people with anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, life changes and experiences that may have shaped how you see yourself and others.I currently offer in-person & Online sessions.

We might focus on understanding your thoughts and behaviours, exploring emotions and relationships, or making connections between past experiences
My work is primarily relational, meaning I place importance on the therapeutic relationship we build together. I believe that feeling safe, understood and genuinely heard can create the foundation for exploring difficult experiences, patterns and relationships, and developing a deeper understanding of yourself.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic approaches, tailoring the work to your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. Together, we can explore both what you are experiencing in the present and how past experiences may have shaped the way you understand yourself, others and your relationships.
My aim is to help you develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion and understanding, while supporting you to find meaningful ways of moving forward.
Qualifications
MA Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy
PGCert Interpersonal and Counselling Skills
BA (Hons) Social Psychology
Gut Health Practitioner Certification – Gateway Workshops
BACP Registered Counsellor
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute phone call where we will discuss your needs, what you would like to gain from having therapy and to see if we are a good match to work together.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and for you to share what has brought you to therapy, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to know exactly where to begin. We can talk about what you’re currently experiencing, what you would like support with and what you hope to gain from therapy. I may also ask about your background and experiences to help me understand you as a whole person.
I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you may have and we can think together about whether the therapeutic relationship feels like the right fit for you.
Most importantly, you don’t have to prepare or have the “right” things to say. Simply coming as you are is enough. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we’ll take the time to build a space where you feel safe, understood and able to explore what matters to you.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Shan, a Relational Integrative Psychotherapist and BACP Registered Counsellor. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted for who you are.
I believe therapy is not about being told what to do, but about having the time and space to understand yourself, your experiences and your relationships, and to explore what may be keeping you feeling stuck. We work collaboratively, at a pace that feels right for you.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on different therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I place great importance on building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to explore difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement.
I have experience supporting people with anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, life changes and experiences that may have shaped how you see yourself and others.
My aim is to help you feel more connected to yourself, develop greater self-understanding and find meaningful ways to move forward.

My first session
Before your first session, I will complete an initial assessment with you. This helps me understand what you are looking for support with, your current circumstances and whether therapy with me is the right fit for your needs.
Your first therapy session is £50.
This first session is about YOU. It is your opportunity to tell me, in your own words, what has been going on for you, what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to gain from our work together.
There is no pressure to know exactly what you need or where to begin. You may have lots to talk about, or you may not know how to put things into words — both are completely okay.
For me, the first session is about beginning to build connection, trust and understanding. I want you to feel comfortable, listened to and able to be yourself.
Together, we can begin to explore what you need from therapy and what moving forward could look like for you.
