About me and my therapy practice
I’m a Relational Integrative Psychotherapist and BACP Registered Counsellor, offering a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted for who you are.
I believe that therapy is not about being told what to do. It is about having the time and space to understand yourself, your experiences and your relationships, and to explore what may be keeping you feeling stuck. My approach is collaborative, meaning we work together at a pace that feels right for you.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I place particular importance on the therapeutic relationship and creating a safe space where you can explore difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences without fear of judgement.
I have experience supporting people with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, life changes and experiences that may have affected how you see yourself and others.
My aim is to help you feel more connected to yourself, develop greater self-understanding and find ways of moving forward that feel meaningful to you.
Practice description
My practice offers a confidential and supportive space for adults who are looking for professional support with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
I understand that taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you are struggling with something that has happened recently or carrying experiences from the past, therapy can provide an opportunity to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing and begin to make changes.
Sessions are tailored around you. We will spend time understanding what has brought you to therapy, what you would like support with and what you hope to gain from our work together. From there, we can explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, patterns and experiences at a pace that feels manageable.
I offer a warm, relational and compassionate approach, whilst also helping you develop practical understanding and tools that you can take into your everyday life.
You can come to therapy exactly as you are. There is no expectation to have the right words or know exactly where to start. We can start there together.
My first session
Before your first session, I will complete an initial assessment with you. This helps me understand what you are looking for support with, your current circumstances and whether therapy with me is the right fit for your needs.
Your first therapy session is £50.
This first session is about YOU. It is your opportunity to tell me, in your own words, what has been going on for you, what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to gain from our work together.
There is no pressure to know exactly what you need or where to begin. You may have lots to talk about, or you may not know how to put things into words — both are completely okay.
For me, the first session is about beginning to build connection, trust and understanding. I want you to feel comfortable, listened to and able to be yourself.
Together, we can begin to explore what you need from therapy and what moving forward could look like for you.
