About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Wendy.

Perhaps you’ve been feeling unhappy, lost or simply not quite yourself, but can’t really explain why. Maybe everything seems fine on the outside, yet something feels missing. You might feel disconnected, overwhelmed, irritable or stuck in a way of living that no longer feels right.

You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, low self-esteem or a significant life change. Or perhaps you don’t recognise yourself in any of these descriptions.

That’s okay. You don’t need to have a diagnosis or a clear reason for seeking therapy.

I’m an integrative relational psychotherapist and BACP Registered Member. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, explore how you’re feeling and begin to understand yourself more deeply.

My approach is person-centred and collaborative. We work at your pace, exploring whatever feels important to you, whether that’s difficult emotions, past experiences, relationships, repeating patterns or simply wanting to feel happier and more comfortable in yourself.

I offer counselling and psychotherapy in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, and online across the UK, with flexible appointments and a free 15-minute initial consultation.

I hold a First Class BA (Hons) in Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship from the University of Warwick and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Alongside my professional training, I bring more than 30 years of experience supporting people through change, challenge and personal development.

I also support people with bereavement and neurodivergence.

Practice description

Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, and it's natural to feel uncertain. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, loss, a life transition or simply feel that something isn't quite right, therapy offers a safe, confidential space to explore whatever is on your mind.

Our first sessions are an opportunity to understand what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. There is no pressure to have all the answers or know where to begin. We will work together at a pace that feels right for you.

I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy to adults, both in person in Leamington Spa and online across the UK. Sessions last 60 minutes and are usually held weekly, although we can discuss an approach that best meets your needs.

Before arranging a first appointment, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. This gives us the opportunity to talk about what has brought you here, answer any questions and help you decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you. There is no obligation to continue.

My first session

Your first therapy session is an opportunity to begin exploring what has brought you here and what you hope to gain from therapy. We'll spend some time talking about your current situation, any important life experiences you'd like me to know about, and what feels most important to focus on.

I'll also explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and talk through practical aspects such as confidentiality, how we'll work together, and what you can expect from future sessions.

There is no expectation to tell your whole story in one session. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, building a shared understanding of your experiences and agreeing how we'd like to continue our work together.
