About me and my therapy practice
I’m Wendy, an integrative relational psychotherapist offering counselling and psychotherapy to adults in Leamington Spa and online across the UK.
I hold a First Class BA (Hons) in Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship from the University of Warwick and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Alongside my professional training, I bring more than 30 years of experience supporting people through change, challenge and personal development.
My approach is warm, collaborative and person-centred, with the relationship between us at the heart of the work. I believe therapy should be shaped around you rather than following a fixed or one-size-fits-all method. I draw on person-centred, psychodynamic, Gestalt and existential ideas, adapting the way we work to reflect your needs, experiences and reasons for coming to therapy.
I will not tell you what to do or assume that I know what is best for you. Instead, I will listen carefully, seek to understand your experience and support you in making sense of what may be happening beneath the surface. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships and life experiences, including patterns that may be affecting how you feel or respond today.
I understand that it can take time to feel comfortable enough to speak openly. You do not need to arrive with the right words or a clear explanation of what is wrong. We can begin with whatever feels most important and work at a pace that feels manageable for you.
My aim is to help you understand yourself more deeply, feel less alone with what you are carrying and find a way forward that feels meaningful and authentic to you.
Practice description
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, and it’s natural to feel uncertain. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, loss, a life transition or simply feel that something isn’t quite right, therapy offers a safe, confidential space to explore whatever is on your mind.
Our first sessions are an opportunity to understand what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. There is no pressure to have all the answers or know where to begin. We will work together at a pace that feels right for you.
I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy to adults, both in person in Leamington Spa and online across the UK. Sessions last 60 minutes and are usually held weekly, although we can discuss an approach that best meets your needs.
Before arranging a first appointment, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. This gives us the opportunity to talk about what has brought you here, answer any questions and help you decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you. There is no obligation to continue.

My first session
Your first therapy session is an opportunity to begin exploring what has brought you here and what you hope to gain from therapy. We’ll spend some time talking about your current situation, any important life experiences you’d like me to know about, and what feels most important to focus on.
I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and talk through practical aspects such as confidentiality, how we’ll work together, and what you can expect from future sessions.
There is no expectation to tell your whole story in one session. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, building a shared understanding of your experiences and agreeing how we’d like to continue our work together.
