About me and my therapy practice

I'm an integrative psychotherapist, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches, tailoring my support to your unique needs, goals and experiences.

At the heart of everything I do is a person-centred approach. This means you lead the sessions and we explore what matters most to you. I'm not here to tell you what to do or give you answers, but to provide a safe space where you can think things through and find your own way forward.

I also use psychodynamic approaches to help you understand patterns in your thoughts, feelings and relationships. Sometimes our past experiences shape how we respond in the present, and exploring these connections can bring real insight and change.

Our bodies hold onto stress and trauma in ways we're not always aware of. I use somatic techniques to help you notice and work with what's happening in your body, alongside compassion-focused approaches that help you develop a kinder relationship with yourself.

Practice description

Life brings challenges and sometimes we need support in facing them. As your therapist, my role is to walk alongside you, providing a space where you can reflect on what you're experiencing in a safe environment, with someone from outside your day-to-day life.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You might be struggling with grief, bereavement or loss. Perhaps anxiety is affecting your daily life, or you're finding it hard to navigate a significant life transition. Relationship difficulties, low self-worth and feelings of being stuck are all common reasons people reach out for support.

I work with adult individuals from all backgrounds, including those who identify as LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals. I have particular experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including domestic violence, sexual abuse and coercive control, helping them process these experiences at a pace that feels right for them.

Whatever brings you to therapy, we'll work together to explore what you're experiencing and find a way forward.

My first session

Before we begin working together, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. This is an informal chat where we can discuss what's bringing you to therapy, answer any questions you have about how I work, and see if we feel like a good fit for each other. There's no pressure or commitment, just an opportunity to see if this feels right for you.

After our initial phone consultation, I'll send you some paperwork, including our contract and information about confidentiality. Our first full session will focus on getting to know your situation and what you're hoping to get from therapy.

Sessions last 50 minutes and generally take place at the same time every week. You can choose to meet with me in person at my practice in Wollaston, or online via a secure video platform.
