I offer one to one counselling through online and telephone sessions, as well as Walk & Talk counselling in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District for those who feel more comfortable talking outdoors. These sessions can include Hope, my friendly golden retriever, who is currently training to become a therapy dog.
For some people, walking alongside a counsellor, surrounded by nature, can feel more comfortable than remotely.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, supportive and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences without fear or judgement.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may be juggling responsibilities, struggling with relationships, experiencing changes or simply feeling that everything has become a little too much. It can be difficult at times to understand why we feel the way we do.
As a qualified integrative counsellor, I recognise that everyone experiences life’s challenges differently.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative and centred around you. I believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is an important part of the counselling process.
Together we can explore what may be contributing to how you’re feeling, develop a greater understanding of yourself and consider ways forward that feel right for you.
My aim is to provide a space where you feel heard, understood and comfortable being yourself, without pressure or expectation.
Practice description
I offer individual counselling for adults through online and telephone sessions, as well as Walk & Talk counselling in the Peak District.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon different therapeutic approaches to support your individual needs. Sessions are led by you, allowing us to explore whatever feels important at a pace you’re comfortable with.
My Walk & Talk sessions take place around Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District, offering an alternative to traditional counselling sessions. These sessions can include Hope, my friendly golden retriever, who is currently training to become a therapy dog. Her involvement is entirely optional.
For Walk & Talk counselling, our initial appointment takes place online, allowing us to get to know one another, discuss your needs and consider whether outdoor counselling would be suitable for you.
Sessions and fees
Online counselling - £45 for 50 minutes
Telephone counselling- £45 for 50 minutes
Walk & Talk counselling- £50 for 50 minutes
I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, and I welcome enquiries from anyone considering whether counselling might be right for them.
My first session
I understand that taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, particularly if you have not experienced counselling before.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore what has brought you to counselling. We can talk about what you are hoping to gain from our time together, and I will explain how I work, including confidentiality and what you can expect from our sessions.
There is no pressure to share everything straight away. We can take things at your pace, and you are welcome to ask any questions along the way.
For those interested in Walk & Talk counselling, our first session will take place online so we can discuss the practical aspects of working outdoors and whether you feel comfortable working with me.
