I am a Registered Member of BACP (MBACP) and a counselling professional based in South Korea. My academic background includes doctoral degrees in Counselling Psychology and Sport Psychology, and my professional qualifications in Korea include Level 1 Clinical Psychologist and Level 1 Youth Counsellor.
My approach to counselling is integrative and tailored to each client's individual needs. I believe that meaningful psychological change begins with understanding not only our thoughts, but also our emotional and physiological states, relationships, expectations and values.
In my work, I draw on my background in counselling psychology, Transactional Analysis (TA), and psychological assessment. I aim to provide a safe, respectful and collaborative therapeutic relationship in which clients can explore their experiences, better understand themselves and develop practical ways of responding to difficulties.
I work with children, adolescents and adults experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural and interpersonal difficulties. My particular areas of interest include emotional regulation, self-regulation, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, school-related difficulties and psychological recovery.
Counselling is primarily provided in Korean. I offer face-to-face sessions in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, as well as online sessions.
Practice description
My practice provides a safe, confidential and supportive space where clients can explore their emotional difficulties and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
I work collaboratively with each client, taking time to understand their individual experiences, current emotional state, relationships and patterns of response. My approach is integrative and informed by counselling psychology and Transactional Analysis, with particular attention to emotional and self-regulation.
I support children, young people and adults with concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation and school-related difficulties. I also have a particular professional interest in supporting children and young people affected by bullying and school violence.
Where appropriate, psychological assessment may be used as part of the process to help develop a more comprehensive understanding of the client's needs.
Sessions are tailored to each individual and may be short-term or long-term. I offer face-to-face counselling in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, as well as online counselling by appointment.
My first session
My practice offers individual counselling and psychological support in a confidential and supportive environment. At the beginning of counselling, I take time to understand your current concerns, emotional experiences, relationships and the situations that may be contributing to your difficulties.
Where appropriate, psychological assessment may be used to support a more comprehensive understanding of your needs. Based on this understanding, we work collaboratively to identify therapeutic goals and develop an approach suited to you.
My work pays particular attention to the connection between emotional and physiological states, thoughts and patterns of behaviour. Rather than focusing solely on changing thoughts, I help clients recognise their current state and recurring response patterns, and explore ways to develop greater emotional stability, self-awareness and self-regulation.
I have particular experience and professional interest in working with children and adolescents, including emotional and behavioural difficulties, school adjustment, peer relationships and school violence-related concerns. I also work with adults experiencing stress, anxiety, emotional difficulties, relationship concerns and challenges with self-understanding.
Sessions are available by appointment, either face-to-face in South Korea or online.

I am a counselling professional based in South Korea, with doctoral-level academic training in both Counselling Psychology and Sport Psychology. I hold Korean national professional qualifications as a Level 1 Youth Counsellor and Level 1 Clinical Psychologist, and I have also completed TA101 training in Transactional Analysis.
My approach is integrative and tailored to each client's individual needs. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, emotional difficulties, stress, interpersonal and relationship concerns, self-esteem issues, and challenges related to children and young people.
In my work, I pay particular attention to a client's current emotional and psychological state and to the patterns that influence how they respond to difficult situations. I integrate psychological understanding with Transactional Analysis and state-focused approaches to help clients better understand themselves and develop more adaptive ways of responding.
I believe counselling should be a collaborative process. My aim is to provide a respectful and supportive therapeutic relationship in which clients can explore their experiences, recognise recurring patterns, and work towards meaningful change at their own pace.
I work with children, young people and adults, and I am committed to ethical practice and ongoing professional development.
Practice description
My practice provides a supportive, respectful and confidential space where clients can explore their emotional difficulties and personal concerns at their own pace.
At the beginning of counselling, I take time to understand the client's current concerns, emotional state, personal history and goals for therapy. Together, we identify the difficulties the client would like to address and agree on an appropriate direction for our work.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to the individual needs of each client. I draw on counselling psychology, Transactional Analysis and psychological assessment, with particular attention to emotional states, patterns of response and self-regulation.
Sessions may focus on understanding emotional and behavioural patterns, exploring relationships and past experiences, developing greater self-awareness, and finding practical ways to manage current difficulties. I aim to help clients understand not only what they think and feel, but also how their psychological and emotional state influences their responses and behaviour.
I work with children, young people and adults. Depending on individual circumstances and needs, counselling may be short-term or longer-term. My goal is to work collaboratively with each client and support meaningful and sustainable psychological change.
My first session
In the first session, I will take time to understand your current concerns, personal circumstances and what you hope to gain from counselling. We will discuss the difficulties you are experiencing and explore your emotional and psychological needs together.
I will also explain how I work, confidentiality, and the general counselling process. Where appropriate and with your agreement, psychological assessment may be considered to help us gain a clearer understanding of your individual needs.
The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and decide whether you feel comfortable working with me. Together, we can discuss your goals for counselling and consider the most appropriate direction for future sessions.
My aim is to provide a safe and respectful environment where you can talk openly without feeling judged or pressured.
