About me and my therapy practice
Perhaps you are reaching out for support because things feel particularly challenging at the moment. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or frustrated by patterns that seem to repeat themselves, despite your best efforts to change them. You might feel disconnected from yourself or others, or simply have a sense that something in your life no longer feels quite right.
We all have aspects of ourselves that can feel difficult to acknowledge or share with others, and sometimes even difficult to recognise within ourselves. In therapy, we can explore these parts with openness and compassion, without judgement. Together, we can begin to make sense of how your experiences, relationships and ways of coping have influenced who you are and how you navigate the world.
I work with adults and young people aged 18 and above. My approach is integrative, meaning that I draw on different therapeutic approaches and tailor the work to your individual needs, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with a Level 6 Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling, and completed my clinical training within NHS services. I have particular experience supporting people with neurodivergence, trauma, grief, anxiety, identity, relationships and periods of significant change.
Practice description
I bring curiosity, genuine interest and careful attention to our work together, with a little humour when it feels appropriate. I may gently challenge you when I think it could be useful, while keeping the focus on what is important to you and allowing the work to develop at a pace that feels comfortable.
Therapy can offer a space to look beyond the expectations, roles and familiar patterns that have shaped your life, and to consider what feels true for you underneath them. We might explore experiences from earlier in your life and the relationships that have influenced you, or we may focus more on what you are experiencing in the present and the patterns that continue to emerge.
Alongside my therapeutic training, I have experience working with young people. This includes experience supporting autistic people, as well as people with ADHD, dyslexia and other forms of neurodivergence. I aim to adapt the way we work to the individual, recognising that there is no single way to communicate, build trust or engage with therapy.
I also have experience working with people in the performing arts, where high levels of pressure, competition and expectation can sometimes make it difficult to switch off or feel able to be yourself. The demands of performing, auditions, rejection, visibility and maintaining high standards can have an impact on confidence, identity, relationships and wellbeing. Therapy can provide a space to explore these pressures, understand how they affect you and find ways of managing them without losing sight of the parts of yourself that exist beyond your work.
I work with adults as well as young people, and you do not need to have a diagnosis or know exactly what you want from therapy before making contact. Sometimes knowing that things are not quite working is enough of a starting point.
