About me and my therapy practice
I am a Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist, offering counselling for adults and young people (11+) in Hayle and Camborne in Cornwall, as well as online and by telephone across the UK. I am registered with the BACP and the ICO as well as having insurance with Balens.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, grieving a loss, struggling in relationships or simply finding life difficult.
My approach is Person-Centred, which means our sessions are shaped around you and what feels important to bring. I won't tell you what you should do or assume that I know what is best for you. Instead, we work together to explore what is happening for you and begin to make sense of your experiences, thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels right for you.
There is no pressure to arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about. Sometimes we might explore what is happening now, while at other times past experiences or patterns may become important.
I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent adults, young people and parents, and my practice is neuroaffirming, recognising and valuing the uniqueness of every individual.
Although talking is at the heart of my approach, I can also work creatively and flexibly where this feels helpful. Above all, I aim to offer a warm, genuine and non-judgemental relationship where you can feel heard and able to be yourself.
Choosing a counsellor is a personal decision. If you're wondering whether I might be the right fit for you, I offer an initial conversation where you can ask questions and decide whether working together feels right.
Practice description
I am a fully qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP.
I work in a trauma-informed and neuroaffirming way, adapting counselling to the individual and their needs.
I offer in-person counselling from welcoming and confidential spaces in Hayle and Camborne, Cornwall, alongside online and telephone counselling across the UK. I also offer walk-and-talk counselling for those who may feel more comfortable talking while outdoors.
I work with a wide range of experiences including anxiety, bereavement and loss, low mood, overwhelm, relationship difficulties, life changes and times when things simply don't feel quite right. I have a particular interest in working with parents and carers of neurodivergent children.
Counselling doesn't have to look the same for everyone. Sessions can be adapted to how you communicate and process things, and there is no expectation that you need to communicate or express yourself in a particular way.
Whether we meet in person, online, by telephone or for walk-and-talk counselling, my aim is to provide a confidential and supportive space in which you can explore whatever has brought you to counselling.
My first session
Before booking your first counselling session, I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call. This gives you an opportunity to tell me a little about what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
Our first counselling session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other. We will talk through how counselling works, confidentiality and our counselling agreement, and you will have space to share as much or as little about what has brought you to counselling as feels comfortable.
There is no expectation that you need to tell me everything in your first session, and you don't need to prepare or know where to begin. We can take things at your pace.
Each counselling session lasts a full 60 minutes and costs £50.
I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for students and people on a reduced income.

About me and my therapy practice
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or low, grieving a loss, struggling in a relationship or carrying pressures within family life. You might be navigating neurodivergence yourself, supporting someone you care about, or simply feeling that life has become too difficult to carry alone.
My approach is Person-Centred. In practice, this means I won’t come to our sessions with a plan for you, tell you what to do or assume that I know what is best. We begin with what is happening for you and shape our work around what you need.
There is no pressure to know exactly what you want to talk about. Sometimes we might explore what is happening now, while at other times past experiences or patterns may become important.
My practice is trauma-informed and neuro-affirming. I won’t view difference as something that needs to be corrected.
Although talking is at the heart of my approach, you don’t always have to rely on words alone. We can work creatively and flexibly where that feels helpful. Above all, I want our relationship to be one in which you feel heard, accepted and able to be yourself.
Choosing a counsellor is personal. I offer a free initial conversation where you can ask questions, talk a little about what you are looking for and decide whether working together feels right.
Practice description
I work from welcoming and confidential spaces in Hayle and Camborne, I also work online and by telephone with clients across the UK. I also offer walk-and-talk counselling for those who feel more comfortable talking while moving or spending time outdoors.
Before becoming a counsellor, my background included education, youth work and supporting people in community settings. This continues to shape my practice, particularly when working with young people and those who may not find it easy to sit down and immediately begin talking.
I have a particular interest in neurodivergence and in supporting parents and carers of neurodivergent children. Alongside my professional training, I bring lived experience of parenting a neurodivergent child. I recognise some of the pressures involved in advocating for your child, navigating education and support services, and looking after your own wellbeing alongside the needs of your family.
My practice is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming and inclusive of LGBTQ+ clients. I value diversity across gender, sexuality, relationships, culture, identity and lived experience. My aim is for you to feel heard, respected and able to be yourself without feeling you need to hide parts of who you are.
Counselling does not have to look the same for everyone. We can adapt sessions to how you communicate and process things, and use creative approaches when words feel difficult.
