About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP-registered counsellor, with a Diploma in Person-centred Counselling and Therapy.

Before training as a counsellor, I spent some years working as a lawyer. That experience brought me into contact with pressure, complexity, and the ways in which people carry professional, personal, and cultural expectations. It continues to shape my interest in identity, belonging, transition, and the cost of having to appear highly functioning, even when that might not reflect how things feel inside.

My counselling training and experience include work with anxiety, neurodiversity, loss, identity, life transitions, self-worth, and the impact of difficult or unsafe relationships.

Practice description

Therapy is an invitation to speak: not just about what might be troubling or worrying you, but more generally, about the experiences, relationships, questions, and those parts of life that really matter to you.

I do not set out to offer ready-made answers, or tell you what you should do. Rather, I offer a thoughtful, non-judgmental space in which you can speak freely, feel heard, and attend more closely to your own experience - without having to present yourself in any particular way.

Over time, this may help you understand yourself more fully: how you have come to see yourself and others, what you need, what you may have had to set aside, and what might be making it difficult to live in a way that feels more true to who you are.

I recognise that demanding or unpredictable working lives do not always fit easily around conventional appointment times. Where possible, I offer some flexibility around scheduling, including early-morning and evening appointments, and can discuss arrangements that work around periods of travel or particularly intensive work.
