About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes we know something needs to change, but we don't quite know where to begin. I believe that conversation can change everything. Therapy offers a space to slow things down, make sense of what is happening and begin to understand yourself and your experiences in a different way.

I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches rather than expecting one way of working to suit everyone. You bring your story, and I bring presence, care and curiosity. Together, we can explore what is happening for you, recognise patterns and find ways forward that feel meaningful and manageable.

The relationship we build is central to my work. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, including about experiences that may feel difficult to put into words.

My experience includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self esteem, relational difficulties, sexual abuse, addiction, neurodivergence, self harm and suicidal thoughts. I also have particular experience supporting men, including male survivors of sexual abuse and trauma.

I work at your pace, moving towards growth and lasting change.

Practice description

My practise is built around connection, trust and working together.

As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I don't follow a one size fits all approach. I work with the person in front of me, drawing on different therapeutic approaches depending on what you need and what will work for you.

our work together might involve making sense of experiences from your pat, exploring what is happening in your life now, noticing patterns in relationships, or understanding the thoughts and feelings and behaviours that can sometimes leave you feeling stuck.

I am an active and engaged therapist. I may ask questions, notice patterns, offer reflections or gently challenge you to look at something fro a different perspective. We work collaboratively, always at a pace that feels right for you.

I understand that talking isn't always easy, particularly when you've pent a long time coping alone. You will never be expected to disclose something before you feel ready.

I offer face to face counselling in my private practice, alongside online sessions. My work is grounded in the belief that greater understanding can create the possibility for growth and change.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute consultation before you decide whether you would like to book a session. This gives us an opportunity to briefly talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you are hoping for.

Our first full session is about beginning to understand you and what is happening in your life. There is o expectation that you tell me everything at once, and you don't need to arrive knowing what to say. We will take things at a  pace that feels manageable for you.

I will explain how we will work together, including confidentiality and practical arrangements and there will be plenty of space for any questions you might have.

Most importantly, the first session is about the beginning of out therapeutic relationship. When your ready, I am here.
