About me and my therapy practice
Before I'm a therapist, I'm a person who has been somewhere real. I entered residential rehabilitation in 2004. What changed me wasn't a programme or a technique — it was being genuinely met by someone who didn't look away. That experience is the foundation of everything I bring.
I work with people carrying trauma, addiction, relational wounds, anxiety and existential questions. This includes therapists and practitioners who hold others all day and have quietly run out of somewhere to put their own weight — people who know the language of therapy inside out and need someone who won't hide behind it.
I am a Certified Compassionate Inquiry® Practitioner trained in the direct lineage of Dr Gabor Maté, hold a Level 5 Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and Therapy from the University of Plymouth, and am a BACP Registered Member. Sixteen years of this work. Most of it at the edge of what people can bear.

Practice description
Many people who find their way here have tried other things. They've understood their patterns, done the reading, perhaps been in therapy before. And something still hasn't shifted.
What I offer isn't a different technique. It's a different quality of contact — genuine presence, relational depth, someone who won't look away from what you bring however long you've carried it.
Some people arrive not quite knowing what they're looking for. Only that they haven't found it yet. You don't need to arrive with the right words. You just need to arrive. That's enough to begin.
Sessions follow what you bring. No protocol, no agenda, no pressure. I draw on Compassionate Inquiry and person-centred therapy not as methods to apply but as a way of being with another person that makes real meeting possible.
My first session
The first session is a free introductory conversation — usually around 20 minutes. No commitment, no assessment, no pressure. Just a chance to speak and find out whether this feels like the right contact. If it does, we take it from there at whatever pace feels right for you.
