About me and my therapy practice
I am a person-centred counsellor based in Altrincham, Manchester.
Offering a calm, unhurried space where you can slow down, be heard, and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying.
My approach is primarily person-centred — which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity and without judgement, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Where it feels helpful, I may also draw on other approaches such as CBT or creative therapy, always guided by what works best for you as an individual.
I work with adults navigating some of life’s most difficult moments, including grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and times of significant change and transition.
Practice description
Sometimes life brings experiences that feel too heavy to hold alone — the loss of someone we love, a period of low mood, creeping anxiety, or a sense that something has shifted and we’re not sure who we are anymore. These are deeply human struggles, and counselling can offer a space to sit with them differently.
I work with:
Grief & loss — bereavement, relationship endings, or any loss that has left its mark
Life transitions — redundancy, retirement, identity shifts, or feeling at a crossroads
Anxiety & stress — worry, overwhelm, panic, or a persistent sense of unease
Depression & low mood — feelings of emptiness, hopelessness, or struggling to engage with life
Sessions are available in person in Altrincham or online via video, so you can choose whatever feels most comfortable and accessible for you.
My first session
Taking that first step towards counselling can feel daunting, so I've tried to make the process as simple and straightforward as possible.
Initial Consultation (20 minutes) — A relaxed, no-obligation conversation where we can meet, talk about what's brought you to counselling, and see whether working together feels right for you.
