About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Debbie and I am a qualified person-centred counsellor which means that I believe you have it within yourself to become the best version of you. I provide a safe space, a human connection and a listening ear to talk about whatever you need.
Mental well-being and self-care have long been passions of mine. I understand how beneficial and restorative making opportunities to walk and spend time immersed in natural environments can be to my mental health.
Practice description
I carry out risk assessments on all locations that I use for walk and talk therapy and I also complete a client risk assessment alongside my clients before commencing walk and talk therapy to ensure we use a suitable location for their needs.
Current locations:
- King George's Memorial Walk, Hayle
- Tehidy Woods Country Park
- Gwithian Beach
- Godrevy Beach
- Penrose
- Marazion
I am adding locations where necessary and I am open to location suggestions.
I have completed Walk and Talk Therapy training and understand how the bilateral stimulation process of walking helps both sides of the brain to communicate effectively and how walking can help clients to feel grounded during therapy sessions.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Debbie and I am a qualified person-centred counsellor which means that I believe you have it within yourself to become the best version of you. I provide a safe space, a human connection and a listening ear to talk about whatever you need.
I have worked as a primary school teacher since 2003 and also work as a counselling lecturer. I enjoy working as a teacher and during the years that I have been teaching I have always found that it is important to create a connection and listen to what others have to say.
Mental well-being and self-care have long been passions of mine and I recognise how beneficial and restorative spending time in natural environments can be to my mental health. I have also found how much more effective I am if I ensure that I prioritise my self-care to be the best version of myself.
