Availability
I am currently available on Fridays and Saturdays. I meet with clients in person at my cabin in Penryn, Cornwall, nestled in the woods on the outskirts of town. It offers parking and is wheelchair-accessible, but there is a small lip at the front door. It provides a quiet, calm, and peaceful environment. It is filled with beautiful light and lots of plants!
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified BACP registered therapist, with a level 5 diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, working with people from all walks of life in Cornwall.
I’ve undertaken Cruse Bereavement training, Trauma Awareness and the ASIST training in suicide intervention.
What matters most to me is helping people reconnect with their own strength and sense of self.
Person‑centred therapy is, at its heart, a relationship. Not a clinical process, not a set of techniques — but a warm, steady, human connection. It is not about changing who you are. It’s about helping you come home to yourself.
I hold a personal interest and a quiet personal connection to loss and grief. It helps me sit with others gently and with genuine understanding.
Practice description
My practice is shaped by a quiet personal connection to loss and grief, and by the many ways these experiences have taught me to sit with people gently, steadily, and with heartfelt understanding.
For over fifteen years, I’ve worked across mental health, dementia, geriatrics, physical disabilities and brain injury. These roles taught me how people begin to rediscover their own strength and voice when they feel safe, respected and truly heard. This belief sits at the centre of my work.
I also carry personal experience of caring for a loved one at home and navigating multiple losses. I understand how grief shifts and settles over time — how it softens, changes shape, and becomes something we carry as life continues around it. This quiet understanding guides the way I accompany people through painful, vulnerable and lonely moments.
What Clients Can Expect:
A calm, non‑judgemental space with gentle, steady support that meets you at your pace.
Person‑centred counselling that follows your needs, your story and what feels important to you.
Compassionate understanding of grief, whether your loss is recent, long‑standing, complex or hard to name.
Professional, accredited practice grounded in ethical standards, safeguarding and ongoing development.

Before our first session, I will send you a contract to read and sign in your own time. We would then go through and discuss it when we meet.
