About me and my therapy practice

When was the last time you had space to think about yourself?

There can be a lot to juggle in everyday life. Work, responsibilities, expectations and the pressure to keep things going can leave very little room for anything else. Things going on beneath the surface can get pushed aside because there's always something more immediate to deal with.

Counselling offers time that's just for you. Somewhere you can talk openly, make sense of what's been happening and explore things you may not have had the time or space to think about. You don't need to know where to start or have the right words.

I'm Katie, a person-centred counsellor. My approach is gentle and down to earth. I work alongside you, taking time to build trust and understanding, without telling you how to feel or what decisions to make.

Practice description

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, trauma, grief and loss, loneliness and periods of change.

My professional background includes working in construction, sales and community support, where I've gained experience supporting people affected by isolation, trauma and difficulties with connection and confidence. I've also worked with adults with learning disabilities, both individually and in groups.

I offer individual counselling for adults aged 18 and over, through online and telephone sessions. This means you can access counselling without travelling to appointments. Each counselling session lasts 50 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes at the end to reflect on the session and consider next steps.

If you'd like to find out more, you're welcome to get in touch for a free introductory call of up to 30 minutes. There's no obligation — just an opportunity to ask questions and see whether working together feels right.

About me and my therapy practice

Who do you turn to when you can't turn to anyone?

Getting through the day and actually feeling okay aren't always the same thing. You can keep going, meet expectations and carry on with everyday life while struggling with things beneath the surface. Counselling offers somewhere to explore what's happening, understand its impact and consider what you need.

I'm Katie, a person-centred counsellor. I believe every person deserves to be heard and understood as an individual. My approach is gentle and relational, built around developing trust and understanding over time. I won't tell you how to feel or what decisions to make. Instead, I'll work alongside you, helping you explore your experiences, recognise the impact they have had and make sense of what you're going through. There is room for difficult conversations, uncertainty and silence.

Practice description

I work with adults navigating a range of experiences, including trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, burnout, loneliness, neurodivergence, learning disabilities and periods of change or transition.

Alongside my counselling work, my professional background includes construction, sales and community support, where I've gained experience working with people affected by isolation, trauma and difficulties with connection and confidence. I've also worked with adults with learning disabilities, both individually and in groups.

If you’re considering counselling, I offer a free introductory call of up to 30 minutes. Finding the right counsellor is a personal decision, and the relationship between you and your counsellor is an important part of the process. The call gives us a chance to talk about what brings you to counselling, ask any questions you might have, and for you to decide whether you feel I might be the right person for you. Theres no obligation to continue after the call.

I offer in-person counselling in Falmouth, as well as online and telephone sessions.

If you feel ready to take that first step, you’re very welcome to get in touch and arrange a free introductory call. I’d be happy to hear from you.
