About me and my therapy practice

We all go through times in life when we may feel lost, overwhelmed, confused or stuck, and these experiences can be challenging to navigate. I recognise that life can sometimes feel like a roller coaster, and therapy can offer a supportive space to make sense of change and uncertainty, and explore what you may need next.

I’m Claire and I provide a compassionate space to explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences with curiosity. I offer warmth, acceptance, honesty and understanding. Where appropriate, I can also bring humour and playfulness into our sessions.

I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, meaning I have a flexible approach and draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs and experiences. These include Person-Centred, Gestalt and Existential therapy, with the understanding that every person is unique.

Together, we can recognise patterns, understand your needs and hopes, and make sense of what is going on in your life. We can build on your strengths, explore your choices and find ways forward that feel meaningful and manageable for you.

Practice description

Who I work with

I work with people who come to therapy for many different reasons, including relationship difficulties, change and life transitions, self-esteem, overwhelm, loss, conflict, divorce, anxiety, depression, stress and neurodivergence.

I work with adults, adolescents and young people.

I have clinical experience working with neurodivergent clients, supported by both professional knowledge and a personal perspective that informs my understanding of neurodiversity in everyday life.

I offer concessions and reduced rates for block bookings. Please get in touch to enquire.

Our relationship

Our relationship matters. The relationship between therapist and client can be an important part of the process of change. I recognise every person’s experience is different, so I aim to offer therapy that feels personal, collaborative and unique to you.

Our work may involve exploring relationships, experiences, circumstances and patterns, as well as how you relate to yourself and others.

I also offer creative approaches, including art and sand trays. These are always optional, and you can decide whether they feel comfortable or helpful for you.

Where I work

I work in therapy rooms in Hove, Brighton and London, with online sessions also available.

My first session

I offer a free initial phone conversation, with no obligation to book. This gives us an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling, for you to ask any questions, and to get a feel for whether we might be a good fit to work together.

If we decide to work together, our first session gives us more time to get to know one another and explore what is happening for you, what you would like from therapy and how we might work together. There is no pressure to know exactly what you want to talk about.

Please email or call to arrange an initial conversation, with no obligation to book.
