About me and my therapy practice
We all go through times in life when things can feel difficult, uncertain or overwhelming. You may be facing a particular problem or change, feeling lost or confused, or simply have a sense that something in your life doesn’t feel quite right.
I’m Claire, and I offer a warm, compassionate and supportive space where you can gently explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences, with curiosity at a pace that feels right for you.
I am an integrative counsellor & psychotherapist, meaning I have a flexible approach and draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs and experiences. Because everyone is different, I adapt my approach to you rather than expecting you to fit into a particular way of working.
Our work together can help you make sense of what you are experiencing, recognise patterns and gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your needs and your relationships. We can also explore your hopes, reconnect with your strengths and consider choices and ways forward that feel meaningful, realistic and manageable for you.
Above all, therapy can offer you a space to be heard, understood and accepted, without judgement.
Practice description
Who I work with
People come to therapy for many different reasons, including relationship difficulties, life changes and transitions, self-esteem, feeling overwhelmed, loss and grief, conflict, divorce, anxiety, depression, stress and neurodivergence.
I work with adults, children, teenagers and young people.
Our Relationship
The relationship between therapist and client can be an important part of the therapeutic process. Everyone’s experience is different, so I offer therapy that feels personal, collaborative and responsive to you and your needs. I believe it is important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with and can connect with so that you can feel safe, supported and able to be yourself.
Our work together may involve exploring your relationships, experiences, circumstances and patterns, as well as gently noticing and understanding how you relate to yourself and to others.
Where I work
I work in therapy rooms in Brighton & Hove, with Online sessions also available. I am currently looking for practice space in London
My first session
I offer a free initial phone conversation. This gives us a chance to talk about what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you. There is no obligation to book after this.
If we decide to work together, our first session is a chance for us to begin getting to know one another and explore what is happening for you, what feels important, and what you hope to gain from therapy.
You are welcome to get in touch by email or phone to arrange an initial conversation, with no obligation to continue.
