About me and my therapy practice

Finding a counsellor can feel like a big step. You might know exactly what's wrong, or you might just know that something doesn't feel right anymore.

My role isn't to give advice or tell you how to live your life. I believe you are the expert on your own experiences. Therapy is a place where you can slow down, think out loud, and explore whatever is important to you without fear of judgement or pressure to be anyone other than yourself.

People come to me for many different reasons. I have a particular interest in supporting people living with chronic illness, neurodivergent adults, parents of neurodivergent children, women navigating life changes, relationship and sexual difficulties, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. You don't need to fit into any of these groups to work with me, everyone is welcome.

I aim to build a genuine, trusting relationship where you feel heard, respected and able to talk openly, whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply want to understand yourself better.

I offer sessions in person in Norwich, online, and by telephone across the UK.

My first session

Before booking a first session, I offer a free 15-minute suitability call. This gives us the opportunity to briefly discuss what has brought you to counselling, for you to ask any questions, and for us both to decide whether I feel like the right fit for your needs.

If you decide to book, the first session is an opportunity for us to explore your situation in more depth, talk about what you hope to gain from counselling, and discuss how we might work together.

Before we meet, I'll ask you to complete a short client information form and read my counselling agreement, which explains how I work and covers things like confidentiality.

There is no pressure to continue after the first session. Finding a counsellor you feel comfortable with is an important part of the process.
