About me and my therapy practice
I am qualified counsellor and a member of the BACP. I have practised as a lawyer for over 20 years before retraining as a therapist (in fact I still work as an employment lawyer). My decision to become a therapist was driven by a desire to focus on the human stories behind my legal clients’ experiences. Through this I have developed both the interest and skills to help people deal with vulnerable and stressful situations in their life such as relationship issues, separations or other major life changes.
I work integratively, drawing from person-centred and psychodynamic approaches to support adults with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, identity, life direction, and past trauma.
I bring warmth, practicality, and a gently challenging presence to the therapy space. My own personal journey through challenges and neurodiversity has further shaped an empathic and grounded approach.
I am also practising artist and brings art and creativity into my therapy sessions.
I offer both face-to-face and online sessions. I am available during weekdays and evenings on Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
