About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor and a member of the BACP (British Association of Councillors & Psychotherapists). I have practiced as a lawyer for over 20 years before becoming a therapist. My decision to become a therapist was driven by the desire to focus upon the human stories behind my legal clients’ experiences. Through this, I have developed both the interest and skills to help people deal with vulnerable and stressful situations in their life such as; relationship issues, separations or other life changes.
My therapy process is an integrative one, drawing from person-centred and psychodynamic approaches to support adults with a range of issues including; anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, identity, life direction, and past trauma.
I naturally bring warmth, practicality, and a gently challenging presence to the therapy space. My own personal journey through challenges and neurodiversity, has further shaped an empathic and grounded approach.
In addition to being a therapist I am also a practising artist. This brings art and creativity into my therapy sessions.
