About me and my therapy practice

Counselling for women navigating identity, relationships and motherhood.

Have you reached a point where you don’t quite recognise yourself anymore?

Perhaps you’re so used to looking after everyone else that you’ve lost sight of your own needs. You may be feeling anxious or overwhelmed, or finding yourself questioning who you are and what you want. You may be finding it difficult to set boundaries or say no, caught in patterns of people-pleasing, or struggling with guilt and the feeling that you should be coping better than you are.

For many women, becoming a mother can bring these feelings into sharper focus. Alongside the love and joy, motherhood can profoundly change how we see ourselves and those around us, sometimes challenging expectations we didn’t realise we held. It can also lead us to reflect on our own childhood and the relationships we had with our parents, including patterns we may have carried into adult life.

As a person-centred counsellor, I offer a warm and accepting environment where you can feel heard and understood. I’ll listen carefully and work alongside you, at your pace, focusing on what feels most important to you.

About Me

Becoming a mother myself has had a significant influence on my work as a counsellor. My own experience has given me a personal understanding of how much motherhood can change us, and how difficult it can be to reach out for support, especially when you feel you should be coping.

I have also worked as a counsellor at a domestic abuse charity, supporting women through deeply complex and traumatic experiences. I understand that sometimes the things we carry are not easy to put into words, and it can take time to make sense of how our experiences have shaped us.

I now work with women navigating periods of change and uncertainty, including motherhood, relationship difficulties, questions about identity, and the emotional impact of difficult family dynamics.
